Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be givcgen for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

Approximately 1.5 ml I am suggesting you on the basis of the current age that you have mentioned as the dosage of the medicine varies from the current weight if your child is over the weight of 10 kg and this is ideally going to be the right amount of medicine to be given
