A. For a 20-month-old baby weighing 11.5 kg, the dosage of Paracetamol (Calpol, Crocin, Dolo, P-125, etc.) depends on the strength of the syrup you are using. Paracetamol Dosage Calculation: The standard safe dose is 10-15 mg per kg per dose, given every 4-6 hours if needed (not exceeding 4 doses in 24 hours). If using 125 mg/5ml (Paracetamol 125 syrup) Dose: 4.5–7 ml per dose Example: You can give 5 ml (one teaspoon) every 6 hours if needed. If using 250 mg/5ml (Paracetamol 250 syrup) Dose: 2.2–3.5 ml per dose Example: You can give 2.5 ml every 6 hours if needed. Important Notes: ✔ Always use the syringe/dropper provided with the medicine for accurate dosing. ✔ Never exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. ✔ If fever is above 102°F, use a cold sponge bath along with medicine. ✔ Consult a doctor if fever lasts more than 3 days or if the baby is very irritable or inactive.
