A. @premkumar I have been pumping and giving him BM via bottle since he is 10 days old. Basically whenever baby is hungry, that time your wife should pump. Ensure it's over 2 hours so that body is not over stressed. 8 to 12 pumping session in 24 hours is good enough. Initially production might be less as baby requirement is less too. but with discipline and scheduled pumping production will increase. If planning to pump very frequently please invest in double electric pumps. saves time and increased production. Need to have food that increases production like ragi oats sago good etc. Need to be hydrated. Hope it helps.

A. no milk comes from nose, we burp him for 15 mins and he burps twice thrice always. He spits milk less than 10 ml sometimes and few times watery liquid comes from one side of lips which we think is cough and not milk. hope we are right. he has nasal congestion which gets ok after nasal drops.

A. that is very normal that small children after taking breastfeeding will regurgitate small amount of milk. if the amount of milk is less than 10 ml no need to worry. this curd like milk is normal and no treatment is required. but if the quantity of milk is more than you have to rule out any gastric problem the child might be having. you can decrease the the regurgitation by giving more burping time to the child. also due to common fpathway at the back between nasal cavity and the oral cavity the milk can come out through the nasal cavity also during the regurgitation and vomiting which is normal meet your dr if vomiting is in large quantity and happening again and again
