A. To know if your 1-month-old baby girl is getting enough breast milk, observe her weight gain, feeding patterns, and diaper output. A well-fed baby usually feeds 8–12 times in 24 hours, appears content after feeding, and passes at least 6–8 wet diapers and 2–4 stools a day. She should be gaining weight steadily after the initial few days of birth. If she's alert, active, and sleeping well between feeds, your milk is likely sufficient. However, if she’s fussy, feeding constantly, not gaining weight, or has fewer wet diapers, it's best to consult your pediatrician or a lactation expert.
