ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist1 Year agoA. dear baby should gain atleast 500 gram weight per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or less
have frequent skin to skin contact,
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain
ensure that baby latches properly during breastfeeding.
SanthoshiMom of a 1 yr 9 m old girl1 Year agoA. in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it becomes 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age. Make sure you feed well and don't worry gradullay it will happen
