Q.

hlo my baby is 8 month old.. He didn't take porridge without salt. can we add little amount of salt in the khichari or porridge?

A. well it's good to avoid, You can give different taste by adding Cummin powder, Curry leaves, coriender leaves, ajawain (carrom seeds), cinnamon,cardamom,ginger, garlic, nutmeg, date puree, or boiled and pureed risings.

A. it would be good to avoid salt throughout the first year of baby as the requirements for sodium for the baby is fulfilled from breast milk itself

A. Hello dear parent, now that you have added taste in the porridge, baby will ask for taste full food than bland. If you had not got him tasted porridge with salt, baby would have never known the taste of salt. Now you will have to add a pinch. Salt is usually not recommended for bBies under 1 year.
