Hlo Doctor,My baby 10 month old is having cough and cold and today while sleeping she wakes up many a times in shivering type and rub her nose this goes on till she sleep soundly

A. Hello, your baby girl is 10 months old and she is having coughs and cold so she doesn’t sleep well at so give her steam inhalation and syrup Ascoril Ls 1.3 ml three times a day and nasoclear nasal drops two times a day

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.n......s if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
