Q.

hii yesterday my baby had received pentavalent vaccine that is painful.. but my baby have 100.2 fever but no redness and swelling at injection site. and fever also gone with in one day. is this ok that no swelling at injection site. or no pain.

A. yes, inflammation is common post vaccination.. at shot site. To ease the pain, apply ice-packs gently on the site. This will help her counter the pain and soothe the inflammation.To do it the right way, take an ice-cube and rub it over your palms. Apply the cold icy water on the affected area by gently patting on the site. Remember directly rubbing an ice-cube on your baby s skin which is already inflamed can make the experience more painful than providing any relief.

A. thanku for your advise.. but my point is that no pain and swelling at injection site is also possible??? my baby have only fever but no pain and swelling
