On most days, give your baby a quick bath. You can keep bubble baths and water play for special occasions. Use warm, rather than hot, water.
Also, use soap sparingly. Some dermatologists recommend using a mild, pH-neutral cleanser which is much gentler on your baby's skin than regular soap.
Try oil massages
If your baby has dry skin, try to give him an oil massage after his bath. Applying oil just after drying him will help seal in the moisture of the bath and allow the skin to get hydrated. If you choose to do this, make sure you use a light oil that gets absorbed well and apply only a thin layer of oil.
Sometimfeel the thicker the better. Sometimes switching from a lotion to a thick cream, ointment, emollient or a different brand.
If your baby has very dry skin, consider moisturising twice a day or even after every nappy or diaper change. If your baby's skin is still dry then check with your doctor.
you can try using baby cetaphil lotion if required. first apply in a small area and see if it suits the baby. then apply all over.
