hii doctor, My child has got cold & cough What should i do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. cough in a child could be allergic infective or maybe because of some other factors associated like GERD which may be a cause of recurrent cough so it needs properly evaluation beforebh giving any kind of medication. You can also give steam in medication to the child for the improvement, and proper evaluation is required if there is recurrent cough associated with other symptoms

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy1 Year agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. try to prevent temperature variations around the child you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold continue the regulaxr diet of the child if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctor for fever and pain give paracetamol. anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello Coconut oil with camphor is one of the best home remedies for the blocked nose, cough, and fever. Heat coconut oil and mix camphor, Apply the lukewarm mixture on the nose, palms, behind the knees, chest, and soles when the child is sleeping.
