Q.
hi today I observed my baby right leg was shivering for few 6-7 seconds.n he did like dis for 5-6 times of gap 2-3 min..only one leg..is it any sign of any problem?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindly ccontinue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia. c

Yup It definitely could be an indication for an issue it’s not a good sign for a child to have shivering in the body or legs so it’s important that you get a check with your paediatrician ones the doctor can advise you correctly after assessing the child
