Q.

Hi, This is Bhavani.I gave a birth to baby boy on 11th January 2021.It was normal delivery. currently I am suffering with back pain. Could you please help me by providing the solution to cure this? Thanks in Advance. Regards, Bhavani

A. Hello Bhavani, Due to hormonal changes you will experience a joint pains and even backache even for another 6 to 8 months. you have to take calcium medications regularly and also use pillows to support your back while sleeping and sitting. If you want you can also use a Tummy belt for support

A. Hi Mom, Back after delivery is common. Research says almost 50 percent of women suffer from back pain in the first few months after having baby. So, nothing to worry. Maintain healthy and balanced diet. Add more calcium and protein rich foods into your diet. Be conscious of how you bend and lift the things. Maintain proper sitting and sleeping posture. Do gentle postpartum exercise like pelvic floor muscle strengthening exercise. Use a footrest to elevate your feet when sitting and holding your baby. Try not to stands for long periods of time.
