hi there i am a mom of 1yr 5m old baby i breastfeed her till date and plan to do it upto 2.5yrs but now i wanna get myself vaccinated with covaxin or covisheild some say since m breastfeedng i shud not gt vaccinated n some say i can go for it i really need a doctor's correct advice plzzz reply doctors or any mums who breastfeed n got the jab

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. in the current recommendation it is not advisable to give vaccitne to the the nursing mothers because the study has not been done till date so so you need to you wait still the new recommendation comes

Neelam sharmaMom of a 15 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. as per now there are no such guidelines have been made that lactating mother and pregnant women can take or not so I advise you to please consult with your gynaecologist regarding this once as she will guide you according to your health conditions
