Q.

hi sir, my son is having skin chordee. I have consulted doctor, he suggested for a operation. As he is 13 months of age is it right to go for a surgery at his age? will there be any issues if we don't opt for surgery?

A. Your doctor can treat chordee by straightening your child's penis and making sure that the urethral opening is at the tip of the penis. To do this, your surgeon will: Use anesthesia to make sure your child stays asleep during the surgery. Take away any extra tissue that's causing the penis to bend.
