Q.

hi sir my child is 2 and half years old. she has stammering and i feel she is struggling a lot.Is it normal at this age?Should I consult a speech therapist?Thanks in advance!

A. It is not uncommon for a child between the ages of 2 and 5 to have a period of temporary stuttering. This is a crucial time of speech and language development. The stutter may persist for a couple of weeks or months. While most stuttering is outgrown, rarely a stutter can persist into adulthood
