Hi sir my baby born yesterday. vaccination has done today is any medicine has given for my baby now?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by gibving ice fotmentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. If your child is having fever then it would be a recommended to give paracetamol or the pain is also too much for the child and also you can repeat paracetamol after every six hours for the child
