Q.

Hi Sir/Mam, My baby is 2 months old. He has been vaccinated today and crying lot with heavy pain and swollen in that area. Any drops for pain killer are available for months babies? we are using paracetamol drops already but no use in reducing pain. We have also kept ice on the swollen area but still crying with pain. Please advice.

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given mmaximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
