Q.

hi sir, I had severe coughing and cold within last 2 week and I got admitted in hospital for that. I am currently 30 week of my pregnancy. To stop my coughing doctor had given me steroids. my question is, it will not imapct my baby inside womb right?

A. hi dear The best treatment for most coughs and colds is for your child to rest at home so their immune system can fight the virus. Making sure your child drinks plenty of fluids will help ease a sore throat and make a runny nose easier to blow. Saline nose drops or spray can also help thin mucus and make it easier to blow out.
