To help the child gain weight, include fat and protein rich foods in the diet like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, legumes, ghee, eggs, chicken, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado, rice water and 550-600 ml milk everyday. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks alongwith variety of fluids like water, buttermilk, curd, fresh juices and coconut water.
