Hi,, should we salt and sugar while giving porridge or weaning food to babies from 6 months?

A. Initially don't introduce salt and sugar and around 7 months should can give jaggery powder instead of sugar and a pinch of salt can be added to add flavour take care and stay safe

A. No salt and sugar. well it's that Your baby’s salt requirement per day is less than 1 g per day and this is mostly met by the breastmilk or formula. So any extra salt will be a burden on the tiny kidneys and the kidney’s will not be able to function properly due to the excessive load. This may lead to kidney disease and other unwanted issues. It's Better to avoid that 'ay lead to other issues. well we know sugar is refined by lot of chemical processes which may be harmful to children even adults. Excess sugar may cause caries and tooth decay in children and unwanted obsetiy. Instead replace with natural sweeteners like jaggery or palm candy.
