Q.

Hi, sgot level is 41 u/l sgpt is 91 u/l s.bilurubin indirect is 1mg/dl s.bilurubin direct is 0.8 mg/dl my father is diagnosed with fatty liver grade 2. Please advise if the above values are high due to fatty liver and if it is normal. doctor did not give any medicine or ask for any diet modification. he said it is common in people who are diabetic.

A. better follow up with your doctor's advice It's hard to comment upon without proper examination it would be better if you consult your doctor for proper examination and medication maintain hygeine in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

A. Hello dear parent! Try as much to avoid heavy foods for your father. Include seasonal fruits and vegetables, green leafy vegetables, nuts, dry fruits. Encourage your father to be physically active as much as possible. Good luck and take care.
