Say no to TV or tablet or mobile phones or laptops during meal time. Arrange the food on the plate so that it is visually appealing to your kid. Make him or her drink water 30 mins before mealtime. Peanuts, yoghurt, avocados, pomegranates, peanut butter, almond butter help in boosting appetite. Give foods rich in zinc like pumpkin seeds, cashew nuts, wheat bran and chicken.

Serve fruit bowls for dessert and serve vegetable soups. Offer colourful and attractive dishes like beetroot halwa or carrot halwa as well stuffed parantha with carrot, cabbage and capsicum. Give paneer or cheese vegetable stuffed pancakes. Avoid force feeding.
