Q.

Hi ...please suggests some weight gaining food or its recipe for my girl...she is very lean...I'm so worried and tensed about it

A. Dear mum, if your baby is active, playful, achieving all growth milestones, passing urine more than 6 to 8 times in 24 hours, passing urine more than 6 to 8 times in 24 hours, has doubled the birth weight by 6 months then do not worry. For healthy weight gain, include variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Use full fat milk to prepare recipes like porridge, kheer and give as milk products like curd, paneer. Continue to breastfeed baby.

A. Hi Try to give balanced meals for the baby You can add foods that are caloric dense like ghee, almond walnut powder, banana, potato. fish, egg to the baby Also can add dates, anjeer to the recipes for weight gain
