Q.

Hi, my son thanvik's 16 to 24 months schedule vaccination got vaccinated . he suffered from fever and recovered from it within a day but he is unable to walk as before he feels pain in leg will he recover from it or should I need to consult doctor already 3days after vaccination but he is suffering lot to walk

A. will improve in a week when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. hi after vaccination child may become irritable. give painkiller as prescribed by paediatrician. apply ice on the injection site intermittently
