Hi ...my son is one year old ..he is premee baby born at 1.6 kg...now his weight is 7.7 kg..is his weight normal...he going motion twice a day..is going motion twice a day reason for not increasing weight

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 12 months old and his weight is 7.7 kg so it’s not normal for his age and as he is premature baby he may put his weight slowly

Baby weight should be triple in a year according to birth weight and after one year baby gain weight slowly. And according to that baby weight is fine. If your baby is active and taking proper meals on time then everything is fine and nothing to worry about
