Q.

Hi !! My son is in his 6th month and doc has advised to start solids as he has enough weight gain . I started off with ragi . May I know the portion size to give ? He seems to enjoy food. I feed him twice a day which is 2 teaspoons of ragi. When we cook it in water the portion size increases.. due to the water consistency . Is it the 2 teaspoon ragi powder calculation or the final bowl preparation 2 teaspoon calaculation

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and after six months you should start semi solid food and start with moong dal soup khichadi daliya suji items mashed potatoes carrots apple and banana. And give baby at least three semi solid diet and ragi is a good option and give baby one time a day. Variety of food should be given. Take care
