Q.
Hi!my son is 3 years 10 months old, he frequently gets cold followed by high fever, nose blockage, throat pain and body ache.What might be the problem?

Author of questionMom of 2 children3 years agoA. but my son gets cold and fever after every 8 to 15 days and pediatrics says if this continues it may lead to asthma.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prefrscribed.
if any fever is tthere paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
