Hi, my son is 1yr 9months old and he is very active but he is not gaining weight properly.

A. Hello mom After the age of 1 normally a toddler will gain only 2 to 4 kgs on a yearly basis as they also tend to grow in height now they tend to look more Leaner but if your child is active enough for his age then you need not worry about

A. If the child is active and is feeding well, then there is nothing to worry about. Give whole cow's milk and milk products like paneer, cheese, butter, yoghurt and ghee in small amounts. Give bananas, avocados and pears as they help in weight gain. Give pulses like moong Dal and masoor Dal. Give fruit milkshakes, fruit smoothies, almond milk etc. Give plain almonds, cashew nuts, walnuts and pistachios to the child or you can even powder them and add to milkshakes and smoothies. Give one boiled egg per day.
