Q.
hi my son 11 months old have fever from yesterday.body temprature increase instantly. in gums have swelling.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. please consult your doctor in such a case then only the correct diagnosis and treatment suggestion is possible after clinical examination and knowing complete history. its very difficult to comment here . .Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only a temperature above 99F is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required
and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever,but if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment.
