Q.

Hi. My left nipples really hurts during feeding, sometimes after feeding, a burning sensation is also felt. When I loosen my innerwear, the burning sensation goes. Why is it so? pls suggest some solution.

A. I feel the latch is incorrect so you feel painful. try to apply breast milk over the affected area after every feed. Also massage your nipples with olive oil everyday before bath it would be alright. You can even use warm compress for good instant relief. try you can take help and try to feed your baby. While they hold the baby you can feed the baby and help baby to latch. It would take a few weeks to get trained. Have patience and feed baby. Make sure you sit comfortably and feed baby. Support yourself with cushions an d pillows and you can feed. Also teach your baby to latch slowly.
