my kid is 5years old.15day back he got high fever and wbc 37000,crp 180.then he was admitted in hospital for 2days and they gave antibiotic treatment.and know after 15days he got fever and throatvpain.now I started antibiotics.Can we use antibiotics repeatedly in the period of 1moth.please give me ur suggestions.

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever.
crAdequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehytdration .

A. No it is only meant to be used till the time your child has been advised for you to use those antibiotics because excessive usage of antibiotics can lead to problem in the liver of the person so it is not advisable that you use it please without doctors advisor you should not continue with it
