hi my kid is 2.8 yr old s suffering from cold n cough from last week n doctor has told to give same medicine and he gets fever only at nights. can I start antibiotics as am little worried π«. as of now am giving t minic and levolin syrup. note he has thick yellowish mucus discharge through nose.

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician2 years agoA. better consult your doctor don't self medicate Cough give ambrolite and ambroxol as prescribed by your doctor give saline nasal drops and steam with baby rub avoid exposure to cold weather keep a track on urine output maintain

Cold and cough can take around 3-9 days to subside. so no need to worry.
continue with the medicine prescribed by the doctor. yes u can give antibiotics if prescribed.
Also apply babyhug rapid relief roll on or vicks babyrub on the chest and feet sole to get relief from cough and cold
