Q.

Hi my kid accidentally pricked her hand from a insulin needle who has a hiv positive and a small amount of blood came out from her hand once pricked.. I throughly washed her hands and put sanitizer on her.. Does she affect by hiv virus..

A. It is a very high risk condition and you have to consult a doctor immediately and the child should be started on postexposure prophylaxis. As the blood came out there is a high chance of infectionWrite Your Answer Here
