hi. my father is vovid positive and he is in isolation (been 13days now). and my daughter had cough, sneezing and vomiting sensation 4 days back. her pediatrician gave Amoxicillin plus potassium clavulanate, cough drops and domstal. after 3 doses of antibiotic her poop is loose and she is pooping multiple times in small quantities. also after giving domstal her nausea increased. i dont know what to do. should i stop antibiotic? kindly suggest

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is theggre paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
