Q.

Hi..my daughter is 3 month old. She was having cold and cough and doctor recommend to give her phenylephrine hydrochloride and chlorpheniramine maleate syrup. we gave it for 3 days. Now she has cough and not breastfeeding properly. what should I do?

A. From yesturday night she is not breastfeeding properly. When starts sucking she is showing as if she needs to vomit. what should I do?should I worry about it?

A. advisable to meet the doctor again if the child is not improving Give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. Try to prevent temperature variations around the child You can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold Continue the regular diet of the child If there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctor For fever and pain give paracetamol
