Q.

Hi, my daughter is 2.5 year old and her weight is still 9.5 kg. She eats well and also she loves food and take proper meal. She is active also… but still she is not gaining weight.. don’t know what to do…

A. Till 4-5 years, lots of babies take time to fain weight as they are very active all the time. You keep feeding fresh, home cooked, nutritious foods rich in fat and proteins like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, eggs, chicken, fish, legumes, ghee, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado, paneer and 550-650 ml milk everyday including variety of fluids. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks.
