Q.

Hi, my daughter is 13 months and she learnt to stand with support before crawling. She has been crawling asymmetrically (drags left buttock with right foot) for about 1-1.5 months now and I just learnt that it isn’t normal. Should we consult a paediatrician or an orthopedist?

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support. After 12 to 15 months baby will stjjart Walking independently and sometimes it may take even longer but in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independgently.
