Q.

Hi, My baby's birth weight was 3.97kgs. He has completed two months and now his weight is 5.5kgs. Is he underweight? Also, he feeds for just 4-5 mins every hour and he passes urine 10-12 times. Is he underfed?

A. hi dear you have to give exclusively breastfeeding to baby after 6 month breast milk is a good healthy diet for baby and build immunity power.There are three reasons why babies do not gain weight: not taking in enough calories, not absorbing calories or burning too many calories. Full-term newborn infants should take in about 1.5 to 2 ounces of breast milk or formula about every 3 hours. Premature infants need more calories than term babies.
