My family started worrying that my baby is not chubby and asked me to consult a paediatrician. The doctor I consulted scared me about my baby’s weight, assessed my milk output. The assessment showed that I am producing enough milk for my baby. Yet, she suggested me to introduce formula since baby’s weight is near the lower limit of the ideal weight range. But I strongly hesitated to introduce formula since we all know that there is nothing more nourishing than the mother’s milk. Hence I continued to breast feed. Later on, although slowly, he started putting on weight and now his weight is perfectly fine. So mammas, please dont freak out unnecessarily if ur baby is not growing enough weight. As long as the weight is within the limits and baby is active and healthy, there is absolutely nothing to panic and dont hurry into introducing formula! Remember not every baby needs to be chubby. It is just the way their bodies are made.
