Q.

Hi, My baby is four and half months old. she is exclusively breastfed. I started introducing formula for only one feed. After introducing formula she didn't poop for the past 2 days but before that she used to poop daily. And also she weighs 5.2kg. Is this normal?#asktheexperts

A. Thank you for your reply. But I'm also concerned about her weight. Her birth weight is 3.3 kg and now she is 4 and half months old but weighs 5.2kg. ls this normal weight gain?

A. It’s not necessarily because of formula milk it can be constipated on breastfeeding also which is normal sometimes they can go without pooping for 10 days also at a stretch but if the child is taking feeding properly and the urine output is good then there is no problem
