Q.

Hi my baby is 6month 10days old, am breast feeding her along with some home made cerlac, she is still looking thiner than earlier,was looking littile fit when she was 3, 4 months, i dint check her weight now, what can i do to increase her weight

A. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the chilld requires any health supplements. the child should be given different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

A. hello some babies are slow weight gainers and if the baby is active then weight is not a problem and make sure to give your child healthy and nutritious food in the diet and also include banana puree and avacadoes potatoes and sweet potatoes ragi which can all help
