Hi, my baby is 6 days old and i have been noticing that after every feed when i m trying to burp him out he is having continuous hiccups, is it normal to have hiccups frequently after every feed??

A. Namaste Mom, Hiccups are ok, not a worry at times it does occur when the milk accidently enters the windpipe instead of the food pipe, next time when you are feeding it is better to elevate the baby head a little while doing so for easy flow

A. Yes, it's normal for newborns to get hiccups after feeds. Their digestive system is still developing, and swallowing air while feeding can cause hiccups. They are usually harmless and go away on their own. If your baby is feeding well and not in discomfort, there's no need to worry.
