hi, my baby is 42 days old. since from 2 days his potty color is dark green. kindly advice.

A. their are many reasons for dark green color stool ... if you are giving iron drops than also that's normal. Certain brands of formula milk resulting in green poop. Imbalance in foremilk and hind milk also causes green stools.

A. Thank you. But it smells too bad. Not only green potty, but normal stool too smells like elder ones. Generally babies stool doesn't smell. But has in his case.

A. If you are giving formula milk to the baby, then dark or green stool color is common due to iron content in the milk. If breastfeeding the baby, then change in poop color can be due to intake of air bubbles which can happen while sucking too quickly of not latching properly. If you have recently added something new in the diet, then also it can effect the color. As your food intake will directly impact the baby, make sure to eat fresh and healthy.
