Q.

Hi my baby is 25 days old, I'm not observing any increase in his weight and his feeding pattern is that he feeds very little milk and falls asleep during feeding. My wife and I would like to know how many feedings are normal and what else can we do to help gain weight.

A. dear parent baby should gain at least 500 gram per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or less the feeding frequency varies from baby to baby baby should be fed on demand whenever baby wants and how much baby wants if passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours is active a lot and gaining adequate weight then feeding is sufficient look for correct latch and position during feeding if baby falls asleep immediately during feeding you may gently awake by ticking babies feet
