Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons.
Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there.
After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shfedding of hairs is there .
Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of agce.
Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. most babies lose some — or even all — of their hair in the first few months of life. And it's completely normal. This hair loss is called alopecia, and in babies it can have several triggers, from hormones to sleeping position.
