A. Dear mum, weight of 4 kg is a normal weight for 2 months 7 days old baby, do not worry. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain. As a breastfeeding mother, have a homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups.

A. You can eat a well balanced and nutritious diet. Eat all fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water. Eat a bowl full of oats and sabudana. Sleep adequately. Do not take stress. Always maintain proper hygiene. Always keep a hand sanitizer handy. Check Babyhug Alcohol Based Hand Sanitizer : It kills 99.9% germs within 30 seconds. It is enriched with glycerin to moisturize your hands. It provides rinse free and rapid disinfection.

A. Your baby is supposed to double his birth weight by the time he turns five or six months old. So your baby is doing just fine. Always feed your baby on demand. Make sure that while feeding, the baby empties one breast first before moving on to the next breast as the milk that comes towards the end which is hind milk, is rich in fat and helps in healthy weight gain.
