Q.

Hi.. my baby is 1year 10 months old and still she is not talking ….she is also not react when someone call her name but when she listens any other sounds like song poem then she react quickly…. Only making sounds like aaaaaa and baba but not any other word….no mumma no papa… what should i do? Should i take her to the doctor or any speech therapy….

A. first of all consult doctor for proper neurological examination. if there is no improvement it is advisable to consult your doctor for proper physical examination and if there is need to do any investigations both for diagnosis and management

A. Some kids have have a delay in speaking but that doesnt mean you have to worry. Its common. If tge child is not responding to any sounds or have not uttered even a single wird so far tgen its better to get the childs hearing test done once. Otherwise, Keep interacting witg the child and give limited screen time. She will talk eventually, even if there is a delay.
