Q.

Hi My baby is 13months old aand she is not comfortable with strangers..she started crying once she saw any new faces and also she is not going to anyone expect me n my husband...My friends and parents said leave her with any other family members though she is crying...This will make her to adopt to situation...but my husband and myself couldn't saw her crying lot without any reason so we Just let it by her wish.. everyone is scolding us for this... and some are suggesting to consult doctor also...what to do...Is this strangers anxiety to be treated..?

A. this type of behaviour / stranger anxiety is very common and this problem has aggravated due to nuclear families. it is important that you should take the child outside and stay with the child so with you present in the surrounding the child will be able to to observe people and then gradually mingle with people and children there is no need to hurry that the child should immediately playx with other children or people and you should give space and time to the child to work upon it. there is no need to worry and the child will definitely come out of this scared behaviour.

A. this is a common behaviour babies will take some time to get comfortable with new place new person.. try comforting.. as the baby grow gradually baby will learn to mingle and comfortable
