Hi, My baby is 10 months old and she is having cough and cold what to give for clearing chest infection.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes and temperature variations around the child. For cold you can give drops maxtra / wikoryl AF 0.5 ml to the child 2-3 times per day. try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. Indirect steam will also help. Go for homce remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.(honey can be added after 1 year age) Give warm water to drink If no imprcovement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor For fever and pain give paracetamol.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. Warm Mustard Oil and Rock Salt Massage Warm a bit of mustard oil and add some rock salt to it. A teaspoon of the salt is what is recommended. Once the mixture is warm enough to apply on the baby’s body, you can slowly massage his chest, back, and feet with this. It is suggested that you also cover the same with a cotton cloth, so that it can provide the required warmth for the baby to feel fine.
