Q.

Hi, my baby is 1 year 14 days old. He was born at 34 weeks . His birth weight was 2.38kg and weight at 9 months was 8.2 kgs. He hasn’t gained any weight in past 4 months. Baby is all active and reaching his milestones.should i get any test done for weight gain issue?

A. Hi thanks for the quick response. How should I make sure if the baby is eating sufficient, as weight gain is not steady. how much a 1 year old is expected to eat quantity wise? He is on 3 meal and 2 snacks, but out of 3 meals he eats 2 fine on most of the days other days it is a real struggle.

A. hello mum if child is active and healthy and playful and having his food properly achieving all the milestones properly then there is nothing to worry about still You should add in your baby's diet potatoes sweet potatoes banana curd egg chicken full cream milk ghee the leafy vegetables and fruit like bananas or u can also give banana milkshakes to increase his weight take care of his physical activities as wel
